BoA adalah penyanyi asal Korea Selatan. Album dan singel BoA dirilis dalam bahasa Korea dan Jepang. Selain fasih dalam kedua bahasa tersebut, BoA lancar berbahasa Inggris dan sedang mempelajari bahasa Mandarin. BoA pernah berkolaborasi dengan artis-artis seperti Mondo Grosso, Westlife, Palm Drive, m-flo, Soul'd Out, dan Howie Dorough dari Backstreet Boys.

Pada 14 Oktober 2008, dibawah label SM Entertainment USA, subdivisi dari SM Entertainment, BoA tampil di Amerika Serikat dengan singel "Eat You Up" dan merilis album bahasa Inggris pertamanya, BoA pada tanggal 17 Maret 2009.

Album kompilasi Best of Soul menjadikan BoA sebagai penyanyi Asia non-Jepang pertama yang albumnya laku lebih dari satu juta keping di Jepang. Semua album yang dirilis di Jepang (5 album studio dan 1 album kompilasi) berhasil menempati urutan nomor satu tangga album Oricon.

BoA juga pernah datang ke Indonesia dan tampil dalam Anugerah Musik Indonesia (AMI) Samsung Award 2004.Album BoA diproduksi dan dirilis di Indonesia oleh Indo Semar Sakti.
